On Virtuous Women....

Good Afternoon!
I am filling in for Mom today. Emma had her pediatrician appointment this morning (4 shots!) and Mom is tired after all the excitment.

Today I was thinking about the shortage of Christian, God-fearing, wives, mothers, and young ladies learning how to be such.

We need to take a stand for our beliefs, for our families, and for the generations to come. We need strong (Biblically and spiritually strong) women who are willing to stand up for what is right.

Here is a quote* from Peter Marshall, formal U.S. Senate Chaplain.

"Godly womanhood....the very phrase sounds strange in our ears. We never hear it now. We hear about every other type of women:
beautiful women, smart women, sophisticated women, career women, talented women, divorced women. But so seldom do we hear of a godly woman-or of a godly man either, for that matter. We believe women come nearer to fulfilling their God-given function in the home than anywhere else. It is a much nobler thing to be a good wife, than to be Miss America. It is a greater achievement to establish a Christian home than it is to produce a second-rate novel filled with filth. Hmmm. It is very sad that this even had to be a quote. If all the women were doing what they were supposed to be doing, where would our world be today?

Please pray for Emma. She got 4 shots today. Youch!
My mom, who is coming up on the baby's due date!

We're Sick....

We are all getting sick. :( Emma, Ben, and Timothy all are running temperatures and everyone is congested. I will resume normal posting as time allows. Please pray for us.

WFMW!

Today is WFMW!

My Works For Me Wednesday tip is Easy Sunburn Relief.

We have used Olive Oil on our sunburns for the last several years. Not only does it provide cooling relief, it takes care of the sunburn too. This also works on wind chapped places. You wait half an hour or so before you apply it. It Works For Me!

Happy Tuesday!

So nice to be back! As a result of doing some bathroom work yesterday, here is a picture of our shower stall 200 tiles later:



We still have some tiles to put up as you can see, but we are making huge headway!

Today I have two things I would like to ask prayer over.
The first is my Mom, she has not been feeling well. Please pray that she will get to feeling better.

Please also pray for my friend Flibbertigibbet who has been sick.

It's Frugal Friday hosted by Biblical Womanhood

My tip is an excellent chocolate coffee shake!

Mocha Shake
Ingredients:
1/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1 tablespoon sugar
1 to 2 teaspoons powdered instant coffee
1/2 cup milk
2 cups vanilla ice cream
Directions:
1. Place water, cocoa, sugar and instant coffee in blender container. Cover; blend briefly on low speed. Add milk.

2. Cover; blend on high speed until thoroughly blended. Add ice cream. Cover; blend until smooth. Serve immediately. About three 6-ounce servings.

Yummy!

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday Everyone! We are back in the loop after a nice weekend! We went to church on Sunday morning, and we rested Sunday afternoon. What a great day for a family to spend time together!
